The Device That Tells Dead and Living Tissue Donated to UU

The Microsurgery and Reconstruction Foundation of TISK donated "Fluorescence Imaging Device" worth TL 800 thousand, which immediately shows dead and living tissue, to the Madical Faculty Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department. It will be possible to treat organs that come off in work accidents more quickly.

The signature ceremony of the protocol was attended by Bursa Governor İzzetin Küçük, Uludag University Rector Prof. Dr. Yusuf Ulcay, Board Member of TISK Microsurgery and Reconstruction Foundation Prof. Dr. Türker Özkan, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Ekrem Kaya, Hospital Chief Physician Assoc. Dr. Yakup Canıtez, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department academics Prof. Dr. Ramazan Kahveci and Prof. Dr. Selçuk Akın.

Prof. Dr. Türker Özkan, one of the first surgeons to establish microsurgery center in French Pasteur Hospital and retired from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine and also board member of TISK Microsurgery and Reconstruction Foundation, wished that the device, which provides great convenience to the surgeons to treat hands, arms and feet that come off in work accidents would be beneficial. Prof. Dr. Özkan said: “Our country is good at microsurgery. This device will give surgeons a comforting light that will illuminate them in the dark, "he said.

Prof. Dr. Ekrem Kaya also thanked TISK Microsurgery and Reconstruction Foundation and stated that the device will provide a great convenience for surgeons and will be a great success in many different usage fields in the future.
